Our Company

Automotive Computer Services, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware in 1992 and has done business as ACS since that time. The name was very carefully chosen - although ACS sells computers and software to automotive companies, more importantly, ACS provides a service. ACS provides access to all dealership information.

From its inception, the long-term goal of ACS has been to develop an affordable, fully integrated, state-of-the-art computer system for automobile dealers. In meeting this goal, ACS would become the single-source provider to automobile dealers for all of their computing needs. ACS has never lost sight of this goal.

Our Solution

As ACS has designed and developed all of the software it sells, all modules have the same look and feel. Automobile dealer input and feedback has been essential to insure that the system is as comprehensive as required, while remaining quite easy to learn and use. The four most important aspects of the system are ease-of-use, integration, complete history, and plain paper forms.

Ease-of-use is important for dealership turnover, as well as employee morale. An easy system to master frees employees to focus on the bigger picture, as well as giving employees the confidence to excel in their jobs.

Complete integration means never having to input the same information more than once. For example, the prospect information entered in sales to receive a credit report will be used in service after the sale; the sales desk knows a vehicle has an open repair order and can even view the operations to see what is being done; special order part availability, as well as accessories due information, is displayed when a repair order is opened. These are just a few simple examples of the total integration provided by an ACS ACCESS system.

An automobile dealership is concerned with more than just the current month. Quick and easy access to past data (vehicle sales, ROs, invoices, POs, checks, accounting, etc) should be included in any state-of-the-art system. The ACS ACCESS system retains all information for later retrieval (viewing and/or printing). A single server available today is sufficient to save many years' worth of data. This is just the first step toward a paperless office environment.

ACS uses plain paper to print ROs and invoices with custom logos. And, there are no per-copy charges. In fact, only F&I forms, W-2s, 1099s, and checks cannot be printed on plain paper. Remember, with all of your history available instantly, there may be no need to print extra copies or even file copies.

As ACS continues to add enhancements and new developments, your ACS ACCESS system will remain state-of-the-art for years to come. Contact ACS today to see how soon you can start saving thousands of dollars in support and maintenance.

“Finally a Dealer Management System that listens ... and evolves as your business evolves.”
